2020 Pool Reflections – 3

YOUR POOL IS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD

In 2020, if you owned a swimming pool, you likely saw a huge return on your investment. With everyone staying home, the backyard pool became an answer to what ailed you. Whether it was stress, boredom, or the need for physical activity, your pool was the answer. Sadly for those who like to travel (or just get out of your house!), the “staycation” may be here to stay for the 2021 year as well.

MILK IT FOR ALL IT’S WORTH

If the vacation plan for 2021 is once again to stay home, it does not have to be the same old pool day. You can turn your family pool parties into themed celebrations! The possibilities of themes you can apply are endless: Disney, Island, Sports, Christmas in July, Animals, etc. Just think outside the box, and take your pool party to the next level. Just remember to always make safety your first priority.

FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

In order to maximize the value, you want to secure the investment. You want to enjoy your swimming pool as soon as you can, for as long as you can in 2021. That may mean upgrading and repairing some pool components now to ensure you can get the most bang for your buck. Swimming pools have become a hot commodity, so pool equipment stock is at an all-time low, and prices keep rising. Don’t wait. You want to evaluate your pool now and start making those upgrades and repairs so it is ready come that first warm week of weather.

WAS IT WORTH IT?

You have likely heard the term buyer’s remorse. In the case of a swimming pool, it’s a big ticket item, so you want to make sure your dollars spent are going to be worth your initial investment. Sadly if you don’t have a pool right now, builders are backed up with orders so getting one installed will be a tall task.  Luckily for you, you got the pool already! So now is the time to maximize its value.
