Trevor A. Sherwood II, is an expert in the swimming pool industry with over 30 years of experience in service, consulting, training and education and code regulation and development. He has contributed to aquatic textbooks and related articles, influenced State Recreational Bathing Codes and presented at National Industry Conferences. He has provided leadership to such organizations at the PHTA (former NSPF® and APSP), Northeast Pool and Spa Association (NESPA), New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA), New Jersey Parks and Recreation Society (NJAA), Pennsylvania Parks and Recreation Society (PRPS), National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), as well as providing guidance and training to the New Jersey and Massachusetts State Health Department on code development and training to their health officials. He has been the lead CPO® instructor at the Atlantic City Pool and Spa Show’s, the swimming industry’s largest trade show, for over 15 years. He was also deemed lead instructor for a grant issued by CPSC to NESPA for training health officials on the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act and entrapment. In 2016, Trevor was named to the NSPF® Advanced Service Technician™ (AST) Review Committee and the Team of Pilot Instructors. In 2019, named to the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance’s first Education Task Force and one of four providers for a new required training for pool directors in the State of New Jersey. In 2020, he was selected to as the presenter for the annual Pool Chemistry module for Environmental Public Health program for NJREHS licensing. In 2021, he was elected to the PHTA SWC-1 and PHTA SWC-2 code writing committees. In 2022, the Stated Health Department hired to train New Jersey Health Officials how to perform pool inspections per the bathing code. In 2023, contracted to provide a webinar for NJ state health officials regarding hot tub design, maintenance, and recommended control measures as it pertains to Legionella.
