This on-demand, self-paced, online format is interactive and engaging with videos, quizzes, and exercises. The Certified Pool & Spa Inspector(TM) (CPI) provides a standardized training program for health officials and pool operators to conduct pool and spa inspections. This course focuses on performing an inspection of the pool and spa area; evaluating swimming pool operation and maintenance; assessing the circulation system and its components; evaluating a facility for VGB Act compliance; recognizing the elements of spa inspections; understanding recreational water illnesses; maintaining supervision and operator records; recognizing the elements of aquatic play features; and understanding swimming pool design standards and their impact on public health. Registrants for the course receive a copy of the PHTA Certified Pool & Inspector Handbook. To become certified as a CPI® (Certified Pool Inspector®), you must complete the CPI course and take the CPI Exam. An additional registration form and $115 fee for the CPI Exam is required. The CPI Exam is 1 hour long, open book, with 35 multiple-choice questions. You must bring a non-programmable calculator. You must score 75% or better to pass. Certified Pool Inspector (CPI) is a 3-year certification. A copy of the Certified Pool/Spa InspectorTM Handbook is provided when you register for the course. Enrollee completes the online course and will receive a Record of Completion. If you want to apply for the exam, you must submit an application and certificate of completion to PHTA with an exam fee of $115.00. Once certified, you are required to have 24 CEUs for renewal. If they do not meet this requirement, you will need to take the course again to renew the CPI Certificate.

REFUND POLICY is as follows. For CPO Services, a refund will be given prior to 14 days of the class less a $35 cancellation fee and a 5 percent credit card charge. No refund will be given in the two week period before the start of the class. For products, refunds will be given on unopened returned merchandise within 30 days of purchase minus a 15 percent restocking. Shipping fees are not refundable. ONLINE TRAINING IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
