Winter Watch Program

Ok. So, summer is officially over. We are all sad to see it go as colder and shorter days are ahead. What does that mean for your swimming pool and spa?

It is most likely they are closed and winterized for the season at this point. It is best to have a safety cover installed for the winter. Not only does it keep unwanted items from entering your pool or spa, but it also helps to improve your chances of opening clear and clean come spring.

But what exactly is happening beneath that cover all winter long? Prior to closing the pool, the water was balanced, shocked and an algaecide added to help prevent algae from growing. Also, the leaves and debris were removed to help prevent against staining. However, water chemistry will change from environmental factors that are beyond one’s control. It’s also possible an errant leave or pest could sneak into the pool as well.

So, for that reason, we offer a winter watch program. This program offers a bi-monthly visit to clear and secure cover, test your pool water and balance the chemistry. This service is performed in December, February and April. By taking these extra measures, you can cut down on opening man-hours and get to swimming sooner when summer rolls back around. So, call us today for information on our special Winter Watch Program!
