The Course & Process
Getting a pool certification online has two options. Each requires knowledge of all topics covered in the nationally certified Pool/Spa Operator® Handbook. Our course covers 18 chapters with 8 online lessons Certified Pool Operator®. You can choose to attend the course as a “live” training via Zoom based on our regular two-day course in-person format or taking it as a blended option with online self-paced training and a one-day Zoom session. For the online self-paced training, the handbook is reviewed via video and audio modules with quizzes at the end of each section. You must score 80% or higher on each quiz to proceed to the next chapter. You have 6 months to complete the online self-paced training and you can sign in as many times as you’d like. Once you’ve passed the online portion, you have a 6-month period to complete training with an instructor and take the exam. Currently, you can do this online via a one-day Zoom session or at an in-person session near you.
COVID-19 Safety
For in-person classes, you don’t need to stress about COVID-19 safety measures. Every recommended procedure is in place to protect the health of both the instructors and those getting certified.
